Plan Ahead
stuff it underneath the saddle,
so to have it handy when you park the bike..
Given Brooks saddle theft is not rare, hiding it under a plastic bag
may help with that, too..

That's not surprising, but I'll humor you anyway. Stating my opinion was an effort to reassure the OP that the saddle in question was not permanently damaged, and that a certain amount of visible wear is normal and even attractive. Your post was simply combative, inexplicably taking umbrage with my opinion, and offering nothing in the way of help or advice to anyone. Now, be assured that whether you understand the difference or not, I'm not going to continue bickering with you about this. Happy holidays.

Well no, you aren't correct in your assertion, so there is nothing to "understand." You asserted that a worn Brooks is attractive. I stated otherwise. This, in reaction to a post asking about the polishing a worn saddle. Both are valid replies, they just happen to sit on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I realize that for some lonely people, arguing with strangers on the Internet can be a means to fill an otherwise empty existence, as they imagine that their words confer an importance or significance upon themselves that they lack in real life. And as sympathetic as I am to their plight, I'm not at all inclined to entertain those afflicted, as doing so seems to only encourage them and thus prolong the correspondence. So please forgive me if I ignore your inevitable future attempts at gaining my attention. My interest and my patience have expired.
