Wikipedia lists the Superissimo from 82 to 88. I'm guessing on the early side, so 82/3/4?

It obviously will need a complete restoration, and a few missing parts to be added, or swapped in. PAINT? The Chrome work has me a bit worried, in part because that is also what separates the Superissimo from other models.

Replacing the front cable guide should be pretty straight forward. Oddly, it appears as if the frame is designed for 3 cable guides, with the front one missing, which is odd for Colnago.

The white logo decal era of Colnago is actually one of my least favorite designs. However, in the C&V world, "embellishment" is often frowned upon. So, I may consider color changes, but will probably try to keep the same basic design.

Nice score. Aside from the fork it looks a lot like the one I just finished rebuilding (see My first Colnago). My chrome cleaned up nice but didn't have the pitting yours appears to have. Nonetheless, you'll be amazed what aluminum foil can do. Enjoy and post plenty of photos during the restoration.

That style of cable guide is quite fragile. Probably was accidentally mashed or broken. Owner then removed it to allow the use of the Campy clip in its place.

I presume this one also has the chainstays stamped/imprinted, and perhaps the seat stays. Oh, maybe you have that too.

So, that brings up a question of exactly how old your bike is, and what model.

Did the Colnago Super bikes have chrome head lugs? It is possible you also have the Superissimo. And, then one would have to date the flat fork crown vs sloping crown you your bike. With the repaint, it could have been swapped.
