I tried one and so wanted to like it, but not to be. I did however try one of the new Trek 3d printed saddles in a 155, which I always found stupidity wide, but this thing was pretty damn comfortable over 50 miles, so I ordered 1.

Got a dedicated pair of winter shoes since I was getting tired of putting on booties and destroying them after a couple rides. Got a pair of North Wave Celsius R GTX shoes.

Also full upgraded the the tires on both my bikes. Both my bikes were running Elite Wheels Gen 1 Drive Series wheels w/ GP5000 S TR 28mm tires setup tubeless. Both sets of tires started to develop tire rot, with the Tarmac having the worse rot. Decided to go 30mm front and back on the Foil RC since it maxes out at 30mm clearance granted it looks like I could squeeze a 32mm in the rear and the Tarmac SL8 went with 32mm in the rear and 30mm up front. On the Gen 1 Drives that have a 21mm internal 28mm external there is ever so slightly bulbing on the 30mm tire and the 32mm is more noticeable but nothing crazy. A more modern 23mm-25mm internal with a 30mm external would be better for a 30mm tire aero wise, but on both my rides this weekend set multiple PR, so I don't think the aero penalty matters as much as people think

I'm getting my Ritchey set up for 'cross season. I want to be able to switch between having it 1x for CX racing, and then have it set up as a 2x road bike the rest of the year. It had a GRX 812, but that's a 1x rear mech and didn't shift well when I tried to bodge a 2x drivetrain together.
Anyway..picked up a GRX 810 rear derailleur this past week...it's now set up as a 1x11, with a 40t paired to an 11-32 cassette. I adjusted the front limit screws so that I can leave the front derailleur in place. I already have a spare set of 50mm deep road wheels, so the only thing I need now is another crankset.

The red was 3 links shorter than the force and rival.
sram rival chain. Shop was out of red and force chains. Interestingly enough, the rival chain is lighter than both the force and the red chains so might just buy these from now on.[/QUOTE
What was the link count on that being lighter? I've been buying the 126 links and the red is lighter than the other two

New saddle last week, 3D printed Fizik Argo. I've been hesitant to spend money on a 3D print saddle, but bought it on a whim when I was at the bike shop. I was down a the shop to make my other purchase of the week, a small frame bag. A group of friends and I did a little over 100 miles with 12k of climbing on Sunday, and I'm tired of stuffing my jersey pockets with 6 hours of gels. Both worked great for the ride, I was able to pack a bunch of gels on the bike, yet still have room to grab my 950ml bottles. The saddle is the most comfortable saddle I've ever had, now I want to buy a couple more for my gravel bikes.

Not so sure. Did a quick 3km ride, was pretty ok. But then took it on a 70km gravel ride and 2 days later my sit bones are still singing lol. I measured 13cm so I guess I should have went with the L3 vs the S3. Not sure if that would have made a difference or not. Maybe just on the road this would be fine, but on the gravel, rough stuff, was a bit much. Have a buddy who will take it off my hands, so Im not out anything, but back to the drawing board I think.

Trek just released a 3D printed saddle at different price points. I’m thinking about picking one up to try. The aelous saddle is the only thing my bum likes.

The triple Tiagra front derailleur (maybe 4403?) went out of adjustment on my '06 LeMond. Was trying to keep the bike with same components that it came with, but I've already replaced 2 (one on wife's bike and one on mine previously. Seems they have a "nub" that the spring rests on and the nub broke on the previous 2. Replaced the one on my wife's bike a while ago with a Microshift R-539. Seems well made, works perfectly, stays in adjustment. Waiting for a Microshift now for my bike. Wasn't easy to find someone with one in stock. They don't show it on the Microshift site, but I contacted them and they said it is still made. Another Microshift triple fd is back ordered on many vendors sites. Just glad if found the one I wanted (the vendor only had 2-now 1).

I'm lucky that I'm able to get along okay with any of the racier saddles, Fizik Argos, Pro Stealths, SLR boost, etc. My favorite saddle, before the 3D printed one, was an SLR boost. However, I had issues with the durability of the SLR and wrote them off. That being said, my ass would be a bit sore after any long 4+ hour ride, regardless of saddle. I spent a little over 6 hours on Sunday on the 3D print Argo, and didn't even think about my bum. For me at least, the 3D saddle conforms better to my sit bones, and there were no pressure points...I was skeptical at first, but now I highly recommend them.

A pair of PD-R8000 Ultegra pedals because one of mine is bad. The pin that holds the binding started to fall out. I was able to press it back in but it started coming out again soon after.
I got about 5-1/2 years out of them. Not sure if that is typical.

Zwift Cog and Click V2 arrived yesterday, and I also have new bar tape and a new batch of TPU tubes on the way. At $49 the Zwift setup seemed like a bargain that would allow me to use my really old steel road bike on the trainer. It has downtube shifters and this will give me virtual shifting in Zwift. The main problem is that it only works in Zwift, not on other software, but I'm guessing there are workarounds. I'll have to investigate.

I got one of these and found it really comfortable. I'm probably going to order another one in the near future for the Lynskey.

- And what is the thing that is attacked and runs the length of your bike just above the top tube? It's like something that could carry bags# except your frame and fork can carry bags...hence the single front bag.
- Do you notice any wonky steering with weight on just one fork leg?
pretty unique build.
