Crank upgrade suggetsions

My crank on my crew district just gave out so I am looking for a new crank. Looking for input and am trying to stay under 150 and in black. So far I am eyeballing

All City 165mm
Andel (seems out of stock) 165
Leader Corsa crank 165

Any thoughts and suggestions would be great.

What do you mean by this?
Everything you listed would be a perfectly fine replacement. S300 cranks will also be in that same price range.

When riding in to work today the left crank arm had some woblle. Pulled over and the square taper was mauled. When I try to tighten it it stays tight for 2-3 revolutions then starts wobbling again.

Not out of stock >>> Andel Standard track crankset | Retrogression

It's a great crankset at a great price. Also, get the BB >>> Andel 110mm bottom bracket | Retrogression

Thanks for the heads up. I am really torn between this one and the all-city.

What tool would I need to change the bottom bracket by the way?

The All-City is just a rebranded Andel. You need this tool >>> Park Tool BBT-22 bottom bracket tool | Retrogression to install the new BB, but I'm not sure what you need to remove the old one.

Park Tool BBT22 or BBT32. The 32 doesn't accept ratchet drive, so it costs less.

Edit: Beaten to the punch ^

OK, I am down to two.

Andel
Sram S300

The Sram I can get through a local bike shop by Tuesday or the Andel I order online. I need help as I am torn. I saw the S300 and it looks super nice but I saw online that it has mixed reviews. Some people love/hate it seems like the negative stuff if mostly creaking. Any input on the two?

I love my S300s. A lot of people have had problems with them (and Omniums as well) because the bottom bracket seems to be hit or miss. You can replace the bottom bracket for a better one but I can see wanting to avoid something that might be bad right out of the box. I haven't heard of anybody complaining about them recently so it is possible that SRAMs quality control improved.

SRAM uses the GXP outboard bearing bottom bracket that is very poor quality. Also, it is 130mm bcd, whereas the Andel has a proper track 144mm bcd. Personally, I think SRAM components suck.

My Andel crank arms are incredibly stiff. Very pleased with them. I did, however, upgrade to the all city pursuit special chainring. Smooth and silent like a ninja. Best of both worlds!

Decided to buy the All City Crank( i know a more expensive Andel) and Andel BB. Ordered it from Ben's Cycles. Figured it would be the quickest shipping since I am in Chicago.
