Messenger bags
I just purchased a Crumpler Seedy3 for myself and a "Weenie" for my wife does anyone else have either of these bags? JJ
|
ive had a seedy 3 for 6 months i like my stuff never gets wet its not to big but u can stuff it full.
|
I've got the Seedy Three, and I'm quite happy with it. I've found it to be very comfortable, easily adjustable, and roomy enough for what I want to carry. I mostly use it on my commutes, carrying a change of clothes, breakfast, etc., with plenty of room left over. I've also been caught in a few downpours with it, and absolutely nothing in the bag got wet.
My girlfriend got the Weenie, because she liked the look of my Seedy Three, but didn't like the size. She likes the bag, but she it's a little small for carrying all of her workout gear (clothes, shoes, towel, etc.). |
someone should try to make their own messenger bag and post pics of it. that'd be nice.
|
that's was my main plan. i have the materials, but i lack the time. i ordered a custom bag from bagaboo in hungary (bagaboo.hu). this summer i should have the time to take a swing at my first bag. notifications shall be given.

Ramblinworker.com Is 100% Dumpster Made Bags! He Makes Less Then 50 A Year! Very Diy, Waterproof, I Have An Xl

I ride with a Chrome Kremlin and like everything about it except that it gets hot in warm weather.
The waterproof part doesn't work for me in hot weather, since it traps sweat between the bag and my back. I would like to find a summer bag, perhaps smaller than my Kremlin, that would absorb or redistribute my perspiration in the summer. |
Seedy three here. I want to find out more about just how waterproof it is though. I've definitely ridden in rain without anything getting wet, but the outer material seems to absorb water a bit. Maybe I'll just treat it with something, yeah.
Really durable bag - I've been using and abusing it daily since last October, and there is no visible wear on it. Although I wouldn't mind some outside pockets. I solved this by using a compass case or two attached to those little loops under the flap on the side. |
i have a crumpler fux delux and love it. I have ridden through the pouring rain with hundereds of dollars in video equipment in tow and have have absolutly no problems, absolutly and completely water proof!
|
i found the chrome kremlinn to be an excellent bag, used it for messenging so in was going to be sweaty anyway. great features, big and that little side strap is a god-send for getting through traffic andnot getting your self caught on cars. buckel is a nice feature too.

anyone have experience with DANK bags? i want to see more pics but the website is NEVER updated and is constantly under construction. if you got one, post a review please
|
baileyworks.com. i use the Baileyworks commuter. Dry and carries plenty. But sometimes I wish I could carry a bit more. I'm looking for something bigger than the metropolis but smaller than the kremlin. about 2500cubic inches.
|
I got a Crumpler backpack with laptop, and camera and lens space. It rocks. Very comfortable.
Bags are nice. |
I got a bunch, my present fave is a Jannd Hurricane in custom safety arange with shop logo, two years, used everyday. Only downside is black interior, I prefer a light color so you can see inside the bag. My wife sews and keeps threatening to make a bag JUST LIKE i WANT.
|
if you're looking for reliability, durability, and waterproof, just save some bills and invest in a reload bag. I seriously think it was one of the best investments I've ever made. www.reloadbags.com

I need a new bag, but I demand instant gratification. I don't like waiting two months. I'm impatient. |

Ain't that America? |
how does stuff get wet in a messenger bag?
when you put wet stuff in it. like your lock then since its nice & dark in there you start getting mold & stuff. so what you all need is one of those boxes of arm & hammer. or get a baileyworks superpro with lock pocket. jon bailey should hire me jeff |
