I have those Two Fish quick cages on several of my frames and IME they work great but need to be periodically retightened to keep them from slipping. I think what happens is that over time the soft rubber base compresses and loses its grip. Also, the steel cage rusts over time ands looks ratty. Since they are made from steel bar stock rather than tubing, they are rather heavy as well.

I have a Twofish cage for my Fuji and I have to use it on my seat tube due to the aero shape of my downtube and it just slips down until my bottle is resting on my downtube.

Also, you can buy just the Two Fish adapter thing without the cages which is what I did, I have no experience with the actual cage they send. |

You can also use it on a non-round or oversized frame tube. The soft rubber base will corform to the shape and the velcro strap is long enough to handle even a very large tube.

If the top of the tube comes to too much of a point, though, the cage will constantly flop over to one side.

The polished hubs to black spokes/rims are especially killer.

Silver hubs and nips + black rims and spokes all day long. Looks good on almost anything it seems.
And the polished hubs cradled in the black fork and stays is pure sexxyness too. |

It looks so good that it's making me depressed about my black hubs, the ones I specifically powder coated to match. :bang:

Chartreuse? Nah, it looks great with black hubs.
You know a bike is hot when it makes you want to walk away from your desk and get on your bike NOW. And also when it sends your brain into orbit with notions of your next build.... I'm thinking transparent purple sprayed over a large metallic flake silver base, black rims, polished hubs........... I gotta stop. Five is silly already. :p Some of those C&V guys are wild, 30+ for many of them. |

5 is silly for one person? I guess I am silly because I am looking for my 5th bike. Single guy in an apartment. Oh well. Slap my ass and call me silly then.

Damn, that thing is freakin' gorgeous. All the black/polished accents are balanced perfectly. The polished hubs to black spokes/rims are especially killer.

I tried to keep it clean and do a silver/black mash up and keep the proportions similar to that of the frame. I did debate getting a Thomson x4 stem so I could get a silver faceplate with a black stem. Also a silver post clamp but im pretty happy with how everything turned out besides the wheel manufacturing headset spacers. They are their carbon ones and they look terrible compared to the other ones ive seen. Im probably going to get fsa ones since I have fsa bars. |
Haven't posted a current skinny tire pic in a while. Ditched the white aluminum bottle cages for stainless.
