Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I use my bottle holder to carry a tallboy every once in a while. New wheelset and fork on my MTB, went on a shakedown ride yesterday and it was amazing. All I need to do now is find a 10 speed shifter/derailleur and I'll be set.

Is the front wheel larger than the back wheel? That thing looks beastly!

2.4 front and 2.2 rear, it's a blast.

Nice! I just bumped up my setup to 2.4 front and back on both bikes...I feel like I'm on a motobike when I'm descending.

Yeah, 2.2 is about the most I can get away with on the rear but the 2.4 up front felt perfect last night for short track.

Here's mine. Ran out of bar tape after rebuilding it. Still some work to be done (like removing those god awful reflective strips). But overall it runs great and much better than my single speed. But I still love my single speed
