First significant change to my Salsa Colossal Ti since I bought it in May 2013. The OEM tires are Clement Strada LLG 700x28c 30 tpi wire bead, which are round and durable, but had a somewhat dead ride. The tires still had a good amount of tread left on them, so I removed them and transferred them to my Windsor Clockwork SS. I replaced them with a Conti Grand Prix 4000s II 700x28c in the front and a Clement Strada LGG 700x32c 120 tpi dual compound folding tire in the rear. The improvement in the ride is very noticeable, even when running only 70 psi in front and 65 psi in the rear.

Thanks. It looks a lot better irl with the natural unpainted finish and etched graphics, and really exquisite welds. Unfortunately, Salsa has stopped making the Ti version, and now only sells a lower end model with a chromo steel frame and lower line components.

decided that I'm going to buy one of the team 2016 Venge Elites at the end of the season:
The 1/2's have bikes being lent to them for the season, and there will be a number of 54's that are available for guys like me to purchase very cheaply before they're offered to the general public. My plan is to buy the bike, then purchase a Dura Ace 9000 groupset for it. The 11sp 105 that comes on the Venge will go onto my steel training bike, so it will also serve as a way to convert both bikes to 11. Not sure what I'm going to do with the wheels that come on the venge, maybe sell them or just have them as spares. It is going to ride the ptap/Hed Belgium wheels that I have for training, and carbon tubulars for racing.
My trusty old caad9 will live at my parent's as a spare/backup bike.
