I don't really give a **** for or against chinarellos or any kind of chinacarbon bikes/parts - but I just do not get the attraction for counterfeit labelling in general, and especially in espi-JG's case since he seems to be so upfront about his bike being a fake :fred:

ya know....this is why the huge debacle happened with specialized a couple years back. they got so sick and tired of people ripping off and/or counterfeiting their products they have to do something everytime they see it happen. they have a bike called the "roubaix" (and yes I know they acquired the name from Fuji)....then some guy was selling Chinese carbon wheels outta his "bike cafe" with "roubaix" decals on them. so they sued....and it caused a massive uproar. I wish more companies were protective of their brand/naming/badging....

I used to run a website for IT certification. Some guy purchased everything I had, put his own label on it and started selling it as his own. He even had the balls to change the copyright to his own name. The guy turned out to be an attorney. I happened to be doing some consulting with a law firm at the time and traded some IT work for the law firms services. They had an attorney who specialized in internet copyright infringement and we beat the guy up for a while, made his life pretty chaotic.

I wish the US government were more aggressive. They give Most Favored Nation status to China while their military hacks our businesses and their manufacturing firms churn out counterfeit goods.

Thanks! it's the only bike down at school with me now so I've been trying to treat it real well. Looking to get some new rims next, maybe Zipp 30 Course if I have the discipline to save up for them. If not, I've been looking at the Velocity Aileron disc wheelset on velomine, which will probably be a "lateral upgrade" or whatever but I can't stand these wheels.
