Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

my red bull project

Greetings from Spain, I present to you my project Red Bull fixie , a bike Peugeout 1974.
To emphasize my fixed gear with the rear derailleur, for use as a chain tensioner.
I hope you enjoy and greetings from barcelona.

Why are you using a chain tensioner on a frame that has dropouts?

It would be nice is we could take it easy on the new guy, especially given the likes and trends over in Spain might be dramatically different from here.

Also, I respect anyone that put that level of love into their bike, even if it is not for me.

for me it is very difficult to correctly translate the English, the rear derailleur the use of chain tensioning and locking it with a piece of wire I transform the wheel speed.

Economically could not change the rear wheel with fixed gear but blocking the diverter I managed to have tensioning + singlespeed
This bike does not use change hands.

No argument there, I'm a big fan of Red Bull sports, I'm just speaking to the possible direction of the thread.

A geared bike that can't shift, pretty remarkable.

So to put this nicely, you ghetto rigged a geared bike into a fixed gear with a piece of wire and a chain tensioner? I don't see this going well at all.
