Any idea what frame this is?
I got this bike yesterday, and am not sure what it is. It has Basso decals, but it has been repainted at some point in it's life, and I can't find any evidence of Basso making a bike like this. The only other markings I can find are Sub 110 stamped in the dropouts, and the serial number is 004. It seems to be made of some type of butted Cro-moly, with an aluminum fork. It takes a rather large seatpost, I'm guessing ~29.2mm. The brace between the nds stays is rather odd. It's been a pretty fun ride so far, I'll be converting it to drop bars soon. Any guesses what it may have been labeled before the repaint?

Haven't had any luck identifying it so far. It's definitely not a Surly, the welds aren't anywhere close to that level of quality. A friend who is quite skilled at identifying frames thinks it is a mail order bike of some sort. I'm also kinda thinking that with the very low serial number and the somewhat lackluster welds, it may be one of a framebuilder's first attempts at tig-welding a frame. Even if it doesn't have an identity, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I swapped to a set of drops tonight, I'll post another pic once I've swapped a few more things.

I’m pretty sure Joe Breeze used Sub 11.0 dropouts on some of his SS mountain bikes...
A little research turns up info that is easily found all over the interwebz that Sub 11.0 was a QBP company, as is Surly, and that their dropouts were used on the earliest 1x1s (like in taras0000’s link) before they started labeling them as Surly, so if you are sure your bike not a Surly, its very possible that it is another QBP brand.

Suppose I didn't notice the decimal point, Sub 11.0 brought more results. I swapped a few more things on it, and discovered the it takes a 28.6mm seatpost, and the rear spacing is 130mm. That last bit has me convinced it's probably an early project from some frame builder, and they probably ordered the dropouts from QBP.
