Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cleaned about a week's worth of dirt and dust off this thing. Dropped the stem and put the Clements back on. Need some knobby gummies asap.

YES. I like where your head is at. But I'm thinking the next set will be Grifo's so I can race on them.

After that it would be up to Cazaderos, Compass Steilacooms or maybe even the SimWorks Homage.

I like the frame pump on the Raleigh. Perfect amount of anachronism.

I don't see a mount for that frame pump.. is it just wedged in there?

If you think about it.... It 'doesn't need one. The frame is small enough that the space between the top tube and down tube is sized and shaped perfectly to capture that end of the pump. I think it looks good. Compact and efficient.

I'd be afraid that just the right bump would knock it loose and it would somehow end up in the spokes of my rear wheel causing a disaster.

It's spring loaded. There's a couple of frame size ranges so it fits pretty snug. One of the ends is a rubber-like compound so it wedges in there pretty nicely.

It's cheap too. You can find glitzy pumps but these are around $30 IIRC.
