Quick release on FG
I'm going to use a loose ball vintage Dura Ace hub to build a front wheel with a Mavic Open Pro rim to replace the aero rimmed Origin8 wheels on my FG. I don't mind not having a quick release and feel secure with the track nuts I currently have. I don't plan on replacing the axle and going to track nuts, but may use a Zipp allen screw track skewer. I like the clean look and it fits with the minimalist aspect of FG bikes.
I assume using track nutted front hubs is mostly a cosmetic feature or a fashion trend attempting to equate fixed gear road bikes with track bikes. Am I missing anything about this or is this just a matter of preference? What do you like?

I have both types. You are not permitted to use a QR on the track (velodrome), although a bolted skewer is permitted so that you can use a front road wheel. As to riding fixed on the road, it doesn't matter and a QR is a bit more convenient, since you don't need to carry a 15mm wrench for wheel removal to repair a flat tire.

The front axle is 9mm for both hollow road QR and solid track axles, and the dropouts are the same on all forks.

Thanks TejanoTrackie for quick rep, so I safely put light road wheel in front then! I always wanted to swap it for lighter and smoother front, my stock Fuji 32 spokes front weighted total 1.5 kg! that's insane lol
And rear is fixed so its does not matter for me

These are nice and probably less steal able than track nuts (unless your thief is walking around with allen keys):
