Things got pissy today and yesterday. It happens sometimes in forums. Because of that, people are now all huffy, and the moderators are being made out as the bad boys. Then a few people got banned for the moment, which may or may not be reasonable, and now people are 'threatening' not to become supporting members. Which isn't much of a threat at all, since they weren't supporting members in the first place (and most of them probably would never have joined anyway). Its like when people boycott products they'd never actually own (that Aston Martin only gets 12MPG?? Well, I'll NEVER be buying one of THEIR cars!).

Anyway, some people have good points, most are just venting. It'll clear up in a few days, and 3/4s of the people who said they wouldn't return will be back.

I'm with karmical on this one... People need to calm down, have a beer, and go for a ride.

Yea, it was a big to-do. In case you didn't read elsewhere, Mayonnaise and William Karsten got banned. Mayo started it all with another slur-laden story about racing a triathlete.

But I think BostonFixed is the only one still upset. Or pretending to be. You know...if it's not hipsters, it's overbearing mods...

this is the first thing that made me laugh on the forums today - I laughed so hard that I spit my dinner all over my computer, so now I am sad again ;)

I know, its crazy huh? I guess we all just realized that we've been suckered into buying all this expensive stuff, when you could go around the corner to walmart and buy a WHOLE BIKE for what we'd pay for a set of tires! Crazy huh? My new Huffy has a decal on it that says, "Mountain Tamer" and it claims to be "Shimano Equipped" so its gotta be good.

A rainy 31 miles before work, then just my normal commute. Thought about heading out again tonight, but I'm really tired and there's a thunderstorm coming. I don't really feel like getting soaked twice :)

I'll do my best to pick up the slack for the people not drinking. But this isn't what I'm trying to forget and not think about.

And y'all remember to be nice to the newbies - we don't want them thinking we're a bunch of haters around here. I sent a couple PMs to SDFix for instance today, and he turns out to be a really nice guy, if somewhat grumpy... ;)

I went for a ride, drank four beers, and learned backgammon.

I've always wondered if backgammon is fun. Is it actually fun? I'd like to learn how to play, if its fun.

I've had a couple beers as well, in addition to BBQ tofu and collard greens. It was southern night fo' sho'.

And HereNT, I'm beginning to learn that when the drinking needs to get done, you are definately someone I can count on. I'm glad to know that. ;)

I don't know what the big deal is, I always thought mods were cool; the way they always dress to the nines, ride around on Vespas, listen to cool music, and pop Quaaludes... If they're a bit on the PC side, I'd still be cool with it. Especially if they were willing to share their 'ludes.
