I don't know why everyone is acting so mystified. I didn't pay much attention to Mayo, but Karsten was an abusive ****heel who should've been banned a year or so ago. This might be "thin-skinned" on my part, but he mindlessly attacked many others besides me, relentlessly baited the mods, and just took himself WAY too seriously. Click on "Find more posts by William Karsten" if you need a refresher. As far as I'm concerned, the 29th was my greatest day, and I'm glad to see him gone.
I DO however have a great deal more respect for [165], who obviously quit being a mod to stand by his friend. No accounting for taste, but loyalty is a good thing. I wish everyone wasn't so down on the mods, since both of these users baited them overtly more than once. You mess with the bull, you eventually get the horns. Anyway, I'm still smiling now that WK's gone.

[165] obviously resigned as a moderator at least a week ago, before any of this happened.

okay - let us get this coffin in the ground and kick the last bit of dirt over it:

I stopped moderating the forums for a few reasons. I was more standing beside myself, realizing that in the long run, this place isn't the end all, be all. The main reason - time. I do not have the time to sit through each and every thread to try and find the bad guys. Plus, I don't find it necessary. Some might have seen my views as skewed, some might have understood them. I don't really care. If I disagree with something, there is a reason, not a blind rage behind it. Some people just cannot see that. So I gave back the blue star. I stood beside my own sense of values and creativity instead of remaining in the shadow of someone's lack thereof. Gui

I just need my beer, my bikes, and now - backgammon. So if you do not possess one of these three, pardon me if I do not stop to talk. There are other things to accomplish.

So there it is. Another chapter undefined, yet closed. Ain't life grand?

Fun if you are gambling and playing fast.

Its definately fun. Fast play is a must, gambling a plus but even playing without the doubling die for *hits and giggles has it pluses... get a board that fits in your bag and play during ride breaks in the middle of nowhere
