PS. So with stories like Cindarella Man, Seabiscuit, etc., how long until they make the movie "Major Taylor"?
"before there was jesse owen, before jackie robinson, there was major taylor, the greatest athelite the world forgot." (not my quote).
Seriously, from his youth in the circus, to being a black athlete during the turn of the century, the fights on the track, the racism, his exciting, crowd pleasing racing style, to his death as a pauper during the great depression...it has Oscar written all over it.
OK. WOW that pic was big.

Beautiful. Both steel? Anyone think we could get Sheldon Brown or Rivendell to put in an order for an alloy version with Nitto? They're almost like curved, flipped and chopped bullhorns, huh?
PS Full pic of the bike would be nice, too.

yeah both steel. here's a pic of the bike w/out the steel shorty fenders I put on it. also is pic of aluminum drops that I have on my px10. the aluminum bars are lighter but the classic steel track bars give me more of an athletic position that is more ideal for the city than riding with head down in the drops. (see how much room there is in trackend of the Hworth?)

bike on the left is 1958 holdsworth zephyr. i put a brooks swift with ti rails to reduce weight added by steel bars/steel shorty fenders(not pictured) on the px 10 is a champion special, not as light (but still tight)

i dunno; seems like a lot of overanalization here. Most of the bars look closest to inverted 3-speed bars (aka 'touring bars' aka 'handlebars at the turn of the last century'). Not precisely the same, but unless you buy a wayback machine, you probably wont find exact.
Wald. $5.

The On-One Mungo bars are nearly identical to the Nitto Moustache bars. I have a set of both and you cannot see or feel a difference between them. They come in a 26.0 stem diameter which is a huge plus, and they are quite a bit cheaper to boot.

i know i said this already, but how about nitto albatrossi, flipped

not as much flat on the top...er...but maybe they'd work
same as the wald $5 bar option, but lighter and more expensive.

it took along time for me to find these old steel track bars and it took a lot of money, but it was worth it. they come up on ebay every once and awhile, keep your eyes peeled.

Some nice curves here that get a bit closer to an old track style:
