Boulder Fixies?
Ok, I know there was a thread on this about a year ago, but I bet there are some new ones out there.
Anybody else in Boulder? We should put together a pub crawl, or something.
If you see a flat black fixie with chrome chopped drops bullhorns thats me, say hey.

I counted a dozen fixies during my two day stay in Denver. Another three in Ft. Collins.

i'm in longmont. celeste bianchi eros convert. and a surly crosscheck all fendered and racked up. mostly a mtb guy; these are my "trails are wet, i'll hit the road" toys, and the commuter. normally crusie the rollers between boulder-longmont-loveland for some 20-40 mile spins.
a pub crawl sounds good.....
edit: large group of front range folks i ride with hang out on the mtbr.com front range board. quite a few around the boulder/longmont area. mostly mtb folk, but most have a road bike of some kind as well. or an urban playtime bike of some sort. check that place out if you feel so inclined.

Sup guys, Im one of the noob riders in boulder. I just picked up a steamroller and have been quite happy with it. There are TON'S o ****ing fixed gears on campus, pistas as far as the eye can see, and i hear you about the no brake/platform sketchyness. Moosetoth i think we may have spoken today about my brake lever?

Oh, DenhamCla, I think you're right. The reason I asked is because I tried the pried-open brakelever trick before and was able to get it on but the lever snapped at the hinge about a month later - thank god I knew how to skid by then. I'm scoping out the e-bay deals for cross-top levers right now. Let me know if you want one.
Here's a question for both you guys, how do you like cut-offs for Boulder's hillyness? I'm thinking of making one for the winter since there doesn't seem to be any point for drops in the snow/sleet.
