Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I don't care about your tastes in the bike, I don't care what anyone things about it's lugs, it's seat post binder (by the way, not all the frames come that way, it's just an option), it's rear wishbone. What I do care about is how the entire frame as a whole holds up.

sorry that we don't have the same taste in girls.
ah... i see what youre saying.. but you did ask for opinions on the frames...and "supurfluous" is a valid opinion, especially for a guy as pragmatic as you say you are...thats all i was saying

I actually have one of these frames, I bought it in the early 90's. Since I've had it , the fork cracked at the forkcrown / fork blade joint and a rear dop out on the left side broke where it enters the seat stay. I don't think this is indicitve of the builders abilities now, but I never did get the fork back from him, and now have a Tange alloy fork. The geometry is wrong, and it doesn't track very good. The seat post binder idea is from those puke greeen Legnano's from the late 60's. It holds well, but I had to drill it out once. Luckily the one in my frame used a standard 1/4 - 28 Allen bolt. All in all an OK bike, but I miss my old Bianchi.
