From: south side, you got a problem with that?
halloweekend, nyc

so halloweekend is happening, and blah blah

OK the real thing is that one of the races is the "put your money where your mouth is" race. this is a $100 entry fee race, winner takes all. i wanted to have a race be $200 entry, so this is a compromise for me.

so, who here is going to do it? i'm pretty sure i'll be donating 100 bucks to someone.

btw, for the rest of the weekend:
https://trackstarnyc.com/halloweekend/index.htm

and click on the red area to see the checkpoints for the sissy race.

It really is too bad that Boston is neither in nor around NY (we just established this elsewhere), because I could really get into the idea of giving away $100. Wow. How many people do you think will sign up?

If I wasn't guaranteed to lose my money I'd consider entering. But yeah, that's not happening.

i'd be surprised if more than 10 people signed up for the big money race. but i, too, am curious as to who'll show up for it.

Doesn't the site say winner take all in three categories?

Well I'm assuming you will, right? I mean it wouldn't be much of a race if you weren't in it.

90%

i can't say that i've been 100% guaranteed that the checkpoints will be fair and the rules will be strictly enforced. both of which i consider to be sine qua non for a race like this. however, i have gotten a lot of good-natured pressure from the organizers to do this race.

so, 90%

if i were
a) faster
or
b) richer
i would race.

as it is, i'd like to race, even though i know i couldn't possibly win. i just can't afford to through away that much dough.

what's the deal with la calavera? alleycat, right? any hints as to roughly what the course will be?

ok, as a side bet, against any regular forum member (registered since august or earlier) i'll match an extra $100, first in among us take all.

or we could make it $20. it'd be a good way to soften the blow of $100 to the overall winner.

btw, missmercian, you in?

click on calavera or the red area of the above link to find out the checkpoints.

The checkpoints are up on trackstar's website: https://www.trackstarnyc.com

I'm thinking about doing a dry run over the weekend.

la calavera is ass-long, covering three boroughs as well as a stop on roosevelt island. drink your Lactat-Pulver, boys and girls!

La Calavera might just merit another bus ride down to NY. Perhaps I can convince more than zero Boston people to join me this time.
