its drilled for presta, and i use a presta on it, i felt it, and it did feel smooth. could it be something with the tube shifiting inside the tire, and ripping the valve? i usually put those little screw things on the stem, maybe the tube is trying to shift/settle, and since the screw thing is on, its making it rip? becuse ive noticed the valve usually sits a little crooked

could be. I like to slightly inflate the tube when I put the tire on, it gives the tube a little structure. Then carefully inflate it. Then deflate it. Then inflate it again. That way you can make sure that the tire and tube are seated really well. Good luck.
