Man, you should just buy it and flip it back onto eBay US.
I don't think a 3Rensho frame has gone for less than a grand in a long while. |
Yeah, that red one went for 600 bucks recently.
|
Well apparently I don't follow these auctions very closely!
|
Haha

Finally got my new frame together last night. Ill likely be adding a brake, as per the law, but actually enjoyed it a lot without today. Of course, looks better without.
A pile o' pics. http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/6...inosignbv6.jpg http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/5632/makpanobv9.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/9681/makfrontju6.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/5002/makwheelum3.jpg http://img115.imageshack.us/img115/9337/maksidezl0.jpg http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/1857/makside2lz4.jpg |

less popular, yes, but not inferior by any means. from my experience with sansin id say they were on par with suntour. underrated hubs, for sure.
|
I heard they dont make these Sansin ones anymore. That true? Ive never seen any FS
|
nope. word is the sansin molds went to suzue to make their hubs... from sheldon brown
Sanshin made Sunshine hubs. My understanding is they picked "Sunshine" as a brand name since it sounded close to Sanshin, non-Japanese had trouble pronouncing Sanshin, and Sunshine has nice English-language connotations. Around 1985 they seemed to have dropped Sunshine and labelled their product Sanshin. In addition to producing product under their own label, Sanshin also acted as a subcontractor for SunTour; all SunTour-labelled hubs came from Sanshin. I don't know if there was any corporate cross-ownership, but, in the late '80s, Sanshin's president was Mamoru Kawai, the younger son of Junzo Kawai, Maeda/SunTour's chairman. Sanshin's factory was in Shiga-ken, maybe an hour from Maeda's offices in Sakai-shi. In the mid-'80s they were diversifying a bit into forging auto parts. I don't know what happened to them when Maeda was purchased then went under. Sanshin made a beautiful ProAm model high-flange hub in the late '70s. The flanges only had 5 cut-outs, leaving a distinctive star-shaped center section. Very nice bearing quality, lots of polish and pretty anodizing. |

I'm not feelin' those particular bars (real bullhorns with a drop to them would be nicer imo) but it's darn good lookin regardless. I never noticed how sexy that fork was when I had the frame, though.
Are you riding a fivegold? Cuz the one that came with my eimei is [star]ing horrendous. |
Yeah i guess i love the bars. I think normal Nitto bulls look huge and I cant handle drops anymore i think. These feel really comfortable.
The seat is an Ariake. About like the Kashima..hard as a hammer. Its been hammerin my ass all day. :( |
