I think you mixed the particles (in your little sub-heading). "Watashi no keirin otaku" translates to "My keirin otaku." You probably want "watashi wa keirin no otaku." Though I hear people drop particles all the time, so you can probably even get away with "watashi wa keirin otaku." If you want to cut and paste the actual japanese characters, it's 私は競輪のオタク. Though most people would just drop the first two characters (it would be assumed you're talking about yourself, thus unnecessary to mention "I am").

Just thought I'd clarify since we're dealing with such a Japanese subject.

You are super-correct. I actually speak Nihongo, and should have caught myself. See, I originally wanted to say something silly, like "Watashi wa wakarima*****a no keirin desu ne."

But it was too long to fit in the sub-header. But it would have made me Japanese friends laugh, to sound so super formal and ridiculous all at once.

Thanks for the correction. I nominate you as BFSSFG Far East Associate Editor-In-Chief.

it's a mongrel, and was posted on the first page long ago and is now gone, but I never get tired of posting this picture:

(fear not, those are not deepVs)

DerekRI 12-07-06 10:36 AM

Nice lacing on the front

Judah 12-07-06 07:12 PM

thanks. It's wearing dura-ace/open-pros right now, but I'm gonna switch back to these shoes soon...

edit: whoa.. sorry on the size.

The cockpit was just for comfort for the summer. Most of the time it has the drop stem/bars like in the velospace photos.

Moan.

DoshKel 12-07-06 08:07 PM

I know its your bike and everything, and don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic still... but the stem and drops. Why?

Moan.

You don't like risers/flats? They really do rule the streets. I love my drops, but I can't see over a car roof with them....

DoshKel 12-07-06 10:31 PM

No I love 'em, but compared to the other set-up... that stem is, well, ugly.

Ok i'm being dumb.

Your bike is pretty.
