I have my fixie + a geared 12 year old giant atx-780 (fully rigid steel) + trek bmx (that I never EVER ride and should really get rid of)

I have a crusty mountain bike, a really pretty old Trek touring rig, and a Miyata road bike with a lot of high-end bits. They are all so much fun. My track bike and commuter fixie get the most action though.

I have a Trek Liquid 25 MTB ... hasn't gotten much use since the summer (when I got my fixed) but I enjoy the climbs so I'm sure it will see some action in the spring. Its to dark now when I get home.

I've two geared bikes - a Gunnar Crosshairs & a Surly LHT. The Surly is for fartin' 'round town and ridin' with the kids. The Gunnar, though a nice bike, has been gatherin' dust for the last couple months.
My fixed has been doin' most of the miles lately, with the SS a distant second.

I have a 04 Bianchi Giro. It is a fantastic machine. It is lighter than my steel fixed gear and nearly as nimble. My only regret is that I hate locking it, so now that the weather is getting colder and my desire to go on longer rides is waning, It rarely sees the light of day.

I have a Surly Pacer with 9 speed Ultegra (eBay pieced together). Its funny, but I used to ride BMX. Then I got a track bike for commuting to work a few years ago. Then I built a road bike when my commute increased. Now I switch off between the fixed and geared and have just as much fun on both. Bikes are fun.

Bikes: IRO Jamie Roy (fixed-gear commuter), Gary Fisher Rig 29er SS, Trek Madone 5.5, Specialized Allez Comp, Marin Mt. Vision Pro, Specialized M2 Hardtail, beater Nishiki fixed-gear conversion, Gary Fisher Rig 29er SS
I have 3 geared bikes, and 3 SS bikes.
The geared bikes are (see the other "how many" thread for SS bikes):
1. A Marin Mt. Vision Pro mtn. bike that hasn't been reassembled since I since I shipped it home in a box at the end of the Great Divide in '03.
2. Specialized Sworks M2 Hardtail which mostly hangs from the ceiling in my garage unless my brother, or someone else who rides, comes to visit and needs to borrow something so we can go on a ride.
3. Specialized (There's a Supergo nearby and they always seem to have killer end-of-season deals on Specialized bikes.) Allez Comp road bike. This one is for group road-rides and training-rides.
I'm considering selling all of the above and putting the proceeds toward a new geared road-bike. Not sure I wan't to go through the hassle of selling them though, as I'm not sure I'd get enough out of them to go to the effort to sell them. Do 5+ year old bikes (even if they were/are mid-to-high-end bikes) really demand that much of a price premium?

i have an 80's guerciotti sl with mostly 7700 d-a, but 7800 d-a 10 speed cassette and dt shifters. i also have a 9 speed norco hardtail with a 5 inch marzocchi z1 bomber on it. i love these bikes. i use my road bike for long rides, climbing, and some commuting. i use my mountain bike for all sorts of mountain biking and some winter riding. i like a lot of technical downhill and freeride sort of riding. i do it all though.

I have a track bike and a conversion, but I'm going to buy a road bike some time soon for, as a couple other people said, especially long and hilly rides.

Bikes: Fuji Track, KHS Witch Doctor, Balance AL 750, Tank Mod Trials Bike
My only geared bike is a KHS Witch Doctor I bought last December. The thing is like 35 lbs, which is good, because that weight helps it hold up the wall. My other bikes are a SS converted '97 Balance, Fuji Track, and a Tank Mod Trials bike I got for like $120. I do like the KHS, but it is a porker, and it doesn't have quite the pick up my other bikes do.

I have a Redline Conquest CX bike that I race in the dirt and use for on-road training. I throw a pair of Ultegra/Open Pros on it and then tear up the asphalt with it.
But for road racing, I'm going to build up a Specialized S-Works E5 with full Campy Chorus. It'll be bling as hell and too nice to ride in anything but perfect weather.
