Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? would you pay $90 for this?

hi all, I've been keeping an eye open for an older steel frame to make into a fixie. i live in japan and there are lots of older steel frames on the website link below, but this one somehow seems super cool to me. it's from about 1957. would you pay $90 for this? i've only got a few hours to bid on this auction and i'm trying to decide whether or not to bid. any comments would be greatly appreciated!

well, i'd say if you really dig the frame, then go for it. i mean, 90 bucks isn't taht much. if you're looking for the frame taht's gonna be your pride and joy and you plan to pimp it out, then maybe you should wait. in the end all that matters is that it feels good and you enjoy riding it.
