Neither. What the hell kind of misled and bored hipster are you, anyway? Go get high from stripping decals off a pista or something.

it's just curiosity. i will, ultimately, determine what i put where on my body. which is the way it should be. but i wouldn't mind asking what you think....

hahahah
two identical rensho tats on each lilly white cheek of your a$$.
hahahaha
no seriously though
get NJS stamped on your calves
BUT ONLY AFTER YOU'VE BEATEN SOMEONE ON THE TRACK
and F anyone who thinks you're posing
you've been doing this for ever.
you've earnt a little respect.
so do it and love it.

*edit*
oh and you may not always be riding that rensho.
for that matter, its a little flashy
i think a stamped njs is more subtle and ultimately more "you"

I know I haven't been sharing my wisdom here much as of late, but with a decision like this to be made I just can't resist. Forget the tattoo. Tattoos are the devil's work. Instead put your money somewhere that could prove very profitable and design a pair of "Hammer" pants that are FG friendly.
In reality, Chimbly, I would probably shy away from brands. I would be thinking something bike related but not directly associated with a company...NJS wouldn't be so bad. You don't have to be a racer to be a fan. But I'm not the one getting the tat.

There's a guy here in Chicago. I've met him twice and we sort of chat whenever we see each other. he has two full sleeves. I love them. They are decorated with the logos of old British motorcycles, the most prominent being Triumph. However, there's also a BSA, and a Norton logo as well. It was the first time that I had seen logos of things that to me, were worth putting on your arm for life. I am into British motorcycles so your appreciation may vary.

I voted for the 3 rensho because I think it's a rather beautiful logo. I do like the NJS one as well but I think that one should be small and somewhat discreet, like the stamp itself. Going with Tink's suggestion, you could do one circle on a cheek each and another on the lower of your back sort of forming a triangle. Seriously.
There are few identities that I'm fond of, but the Merckx one is one of my favourites, along with the Colnago clover but that's sort of non-distinctive if you take it out of context.
Merckx (and I do have one):

only place to put the NJS stamp would be the middle of your forehead.

I can't imagine stamping a company logo on myself. To me that's not my identity, it's living vicariously. I would never identify so strongly with someone else's company (even if I think they make cool ass ****) to put it on my body permanently.
The NJS stamp is visually cool, but ultimately I guess I'm not in an NJS frame of mind. Maybe it's neat to build up a full NJS rig just like it's fun to do a period correct restoration of that old Fiat Spyder you've got hiding in the garage, but it's also not something I "identify" with. There's no sentiment in NJS for me. It would be like getting a UL stamp or ISO 9000 mark.
I guess I'm not much of a fanboy.
I kind of get the motorcycle thing. It's not about those particular brands, it's about a certain zeitgeist when British motorcycles were the first and last word in over-the-top performance machines....with style!
I wouldn't do either and this is coming from a guy with a picture of his dog on his lower calf. (Hmm...I don't know if that adds extra emphasis or completely undermines anything I might have written.)

you know, i never thought of either idea as corporate. probably because 3rensho doesn't exist any more and isn't an obvious logo, hence, what would i be advertising?
and thanks to all y'all who called me a hipster. i really appreciate it. i haven't felt so popular since i took 9th in a 9-way run for class treasurer in 1990.
