Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

what is this?

its an alpha. designed by a wackjob in Philly at frankenstein bike works, and a friend/ex-boss of mine who will remain nameless (because I like him in spite of this horrible bike that he labored over with autocad).

its gaspipe cromo with crappy stock parts. the dented toptube adds nothing more than questionable sytle. don't buy it.

they sell these on ebay for about that much, 300. DONT' BUY IT THOUGH! i don't think the original bike comes with a surly hub, it comes with a Quando and some generic crappy cog. this person must have changed the hub. i asked the ebay guy about the cog and he said it's taiwan just like all other bike components, and he didn't sound very nice. the bike also weighs a lot! 26 pounds, that's way too much for a fixie. you can get a thrift store bike that weighs less than that and for cheaper.
