Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Can Kevin Bacon true a wheel using an Eiffel Tower model as a wheelstand and a tuning fork as a tension meter? I think not.

I don't mean to thread-jack, but this thread doesn't seem to have very much direction in the first place... so...

A week or two ago I saw the Triplets of Bellville on DVD (loved it). One thing confused me, though: was the grandmother Portuguese? I sortof assumed from the beginning that they were French, but when she plays the piano at the triplets' apartment I believe she sings in Portuguese.

Not really, but he starred with her in some indie film in '82 (Forty-Deus, I think).

I'm in a frog hating mood right now, and those ****n portugese are not far behind (Macao). Since Kev played a crazed serial killer than eventually offed his own mom, I will vote for him

Madame Silva is Portuguese, and sings something like:

"In a portuguese home it´s nice, to have bread and wine over the table,
If at the door someone knocks with humility, come to sit at the table with us..."

yeah they brought a lot of wine and bread and hospitality with them when they occupied Macao for 90 Fkn yrs. My uncle's best friend got dead holding a sign that protest the wonderful wine and bread occupation.

Gosh this is a bad mood. need to ride...

Exactly what I'm sayin'. He'd be gassed before they hit the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
