i'll be in louisville this weekend due to having no money to drive up.

if amtrak is anything like greyhound youll have to have the bike boxed up and pay a freight fee

They'll take the bike. It costs $10 for a bike box at the station and you check it. I forget if you have to pay extra for the actual bike or not. It could be $10-$15/$20 total. If you can get a bike box or have a box, then no worries.
