Not to piss on the Holidays/boozing parade but:

Never drank an alcoholic drink in my life, was vegetarian and vegan for years, vegetarian again at present. Can't say i feel i missed out on squat! I am just glad all you happy drinkers presumably don't drive/cycle after you have drunk some.

... Read this if you want to know where i am coming from, but i warn you it may sober you right up:

https://www.riinsrants.info/culture/misery.htm

It is about how Ken Kifer (cyclist hero i think) got killed by a drunk driver but also about alcohol in general

Oh by the way i love Maddox as well, he the man.

Bikes: several. blue. fun.

ok, i'm reclaiming this thread. this is not some straightedge vegan lovefest preachathon. this is a celebration of the drunkenness that is the Festivus season. drunk drunk drunk fixed bikers. that's who we are.

btw- tequila rose, i've just discovered, is really really nasty stuff. back to the DiSaronno for me.

love you, too, man.

in fact, love to all bikeforums!

however, i have to admit that i was being a bit sardonic. i haven't had a drink in 9 years, like the guy with the weird "L" in his username.

furthermore, i really, really, really, want this to turn into a sXe vegan lovefest. we can leave the preaching at the door, though

yeah, i haven't seen any of them in...maybe a year or two, but i used to know a few of the firedancers and a couple of other people involved with that. so they're famous outside boise, eh? craaaazy.

i'm starting to be drunk. a big thank you to mickey's ice and the pogues.

sXe/vegan lovefest...meh. go ahead and be sXe or vegan if you want, fine by me. leave the preachiness at the door--and as long as us drunks and the sober folks can converse and be amiable and happy, i'm satisfied.

i did indeed. it only reinforces my belief that driving drunk is the stupidest, most wrong thing you can do. i do also think that if you cycle while drunk, at least no one is at risk but you.

no drunk shooting has to be the dumbest. i almost shot myself in the foot one drunken night while shooting over a friends house. .45cal full custom colt... which i sold shortly after the incident-

yeah. okay. drunk driving and drunk shooting are now on almost equal par for me...driving drunk you run the risk of hurting others (and statistically speaking, less risk of hurting yourself), shooting....well...anywhere you aim the gun, there's risk. but yeah, i see what you're saying.

you know here in idaho, if you feel like walking around with a gun over your shoulder, it's perfectly legal to do so? 14 years old, parents decide to move here. first day here, we go out to eat. at our window seat, we notice a bunch of guys walking buy in camo, carrying guns. it was weird as ****.

you could easily combine the two for drunken driving shooting, which i must say has to be on my personal list of the dumbest things i've done-

georgia, eh? i was supposed to drink with a friend from alabama tonight, but that fell through. just me and my sister singing irish songs drunkenly.

flippin' sweet, you should be here for that drinkin', shootin', and drivin', i know how you are about that. and most idaho is like that, but especially northern idaho. i think we can agree that the wrost thing about cycling in idaho is getting cutoff by monster trucks with "bush/cheney" stickers, gun racks, and puff daddy blaring.

to anyone cycling in such communities.

oh, fun! I wish i were there. I'm drunkenly singing on the inside now. ("whiskey, your the devil/you're leading me astray...") Getting cut off and run down is the story of my life recently. I gotta figure out some way to dent those flannel-wearing, mud-flapped, deep-fried, mullet-sporting nut jobs. It's scary.

Dent 'em with the butt of yer gun, boy. And if that don't work, then use the other end!

(Now you gotta get a gun rack for your fixed gear!)
