I have one which I used on my old Claud Butler (see other thread) which had a TA crankset. If you really get stuck, I could lend it to you - I'm on the Right Coast, so there may be a logistics problem…

Let me know if I can help (I'll dig around for a pic, and measure the sizes if you're interested)

- Wil

PS: I just took a quick look and the threaded part for the crank-arm on the TA tool is the same size as the larger threaded-part of the Park-Tool CCP-1, and the bolt is 15mm. You might get away with using a skinny 15mm socket to remove the bolts and the Park Tool to remove the cranks.

thanks Wil, i'm hoping that the local co-op will have one, but they're not open today, so i'm hoping to find one locally.

if i can't, i may take you up on your offer though.

(pic and specs would be much appreciated)

be really careful with that park on the TA's. i used it and it made for a really interesting evening. granted...i may have threaded the puller in crooked or the threads may have been somewhat shot though.

regardless, i really mangled the right side and ended up having to do some bottom bracket gymnastics...

There's definitely one at Ped Rev, but not one at the Bike Kitchen, afaik.

I bet the guys and gal at Box Dog have one, though.

If you can wait till I get back to London, I can lend you one, but otherwise try bike fix on lamb's conduit or bicycle workshop on all saints rd near portbello. If you ask very nicely, they will let you use their tool.
