Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? best card ... ever.

I just got the greatest awful cheesy Hallmark birthday card from my Dad. It's all sentimental & crap, but it begins with a picture of a little boy on a bike with another person (presumably the boys father) on a bike behind him. On the first page of the inside, it's a slightly older boy - on a foot scooter with a friend on a slightly larger foot scooter behind him. On the very inside, the boy is grown up and splashing a mountain bike through a trail.

As far as birthday cards from one's parents go, they don't get more spot-on than this one. OK, so the grown up boy wasn't riding a fixie, but the bike stayed with him the whole time. This might be a bit too emotional for the BFSS&FG, but I thought I'd share it with you.

I like the fact that the guy on the mountian bike is riding a trek y-33 or 22 ( can't tell from the picture). But my favorite card was Shant's spoke card.

nice card s_9. My P's made a card for me this year out of all the pics of me on all happyfaced on my bike(s) throughout the years, and the last page was a pic of sleeping in a chair from last year. My dad has a good sense of humor.

Bikes on cards = good.
Nice share.
Happy Belated YouDay, s_9
