yeah, sorry i don't know all that northeast talk. i just moved here not all too long ago. if cc is where it is, and we are where we are, am i not northeast? directionally speaking? that's all i was getting at. sure, there are flaws to that logic too, but i didn't think to worry about it too much.

the art musuem/thrashin' rides are fun, but too late at night, and too far away for us kids (at least me) that have to be to work the next morning. that is why i thought we'd try to do something a little earlier/closer to home, at least for the fishtown area kids. Just trying to get some riding in with people i haven't met in the area i live.

to recap: if you're down (no matter where you live) and feel like coming out, meet at circle thrift (2007 Frankford) at 8 o clock. we'll ride over to the lot (which is across the freeway behind the richmond(?) shopping center at aramingo and york). maybe race around the loop, footdown, just hang out? whatever people want to do. skid, stand, drink (just don't be makin' a mess) we'll see what happens.

My thoughts exactly. Tuesday at 8 sounds good.

And maybe we should just call it East Philly, so as to avoid the confusion. Since East Philly doesn't actually exist (even though I live proudly in North Philly)

Whoah now, east philly does exist. Most people call it camden and its pretty ghetto.

On a more serious note, yeah those 10pm starts were not gonna fly for me. Way too late for many of the employed population to be getting in exercise... But i'm not in the "near n'east" so i probably wouldn't grab that motivation either even if it were at 8pm.. city hall/parkway ideas i'd consider at earlier times than the pretzel ride etc.

Stop spreading lies. Most people call Camden "New Jersey," and, well...

It always depends on who you ask. Northern Liberties is usually 6th St. to the west, Girard Ave. to the north, Delaware Ave. to the east, and Spring Garden to the South. In fact, I think that's how the city defines it.

Fishtown's "traditional" (i.e., the folks who've lived here since long before any youse new people got here) boundaries: Frankford Ave. from the Delaware River to Norris Street; Norris St. to the river (kind of an invisible line there, since Norris doesn't go all the way to the river.) Basically, a triangle. These days people are claiming York instead of Norris, some go as far as Lehigh replacing Norris. But as we all know, between York and Lehigh southeast of Frankford is called Cione.

The real estate agents are claiming everything from like N. American St. to Allegheny Ave. just so they can try to get more money. I read an article today about Trump's condo complex that's going to be on Beach Street (right along the river, east of Northern Liberties) called "Fishtown South." They also have real problems calling anything that's always been called Kensington "Kensington," because they don't want to scare anybody off.

Anyway, enough of the geography lesson. I won't be able to make it tonight, but hopefully this becomes a frequent thing - since I live in traditional Fishtown, it's two minutes away for me.
