Hey Columbus?
when exactly is jumping ships? or ship? or whatever. or is there a date yet. (sorry if i just missed the thread/post) I want to possibly get out there, if it is anywhere near the first of april (milwaukee messenger invitational 5!) so yeah, if you know, or can tell me who does know, i'd be appreciative.

you get bonus points because thug murder is the worst band i've ever seen live, then even more for putting x's on either side because they're a japanese skinhead girl band that is far from straight edge.
jumpinships were in march last year i do believe? maybe not.. there isn't a date on the spokecard

Yeah, thug murder sucks. Went to see face to face in Pittsburgh a couple years ago, and they opened for them. We hoped it was going to be some hardcore rap group with a punk flair, but no dice. Slightly amusing, mostly disappointing.
Edit: To add something constructive to my post, jumpinships was at the end of April last year, on the 24th or 26th.

so we don't know yet? aight. just checking. and people are torn between thug murder. a lot of people that i've talked to think they are hilarious, and others depise them. life is funny that way.

i live in columbus and i do not know the date yet. i've been asking around and have been told by various people that they have no idea what in the hell is going on. i'm sure that this isn't particularly helpful, but it may be useful to know that the locals don't know what the **** is going on either.

Well "tony bag o donuts" was the admin for the site and he is no longer here and isnt a messenger any longer, and with the last round of messengers going indie(like me) alot of the former cohesion in the messenger tribe was lost, we had about 10 messengers leave and not get replaced. Rainbow and Archive have been eaten alive by us, and we arent showing any mercy, ultimately it will mean less messengers period, most of the pretenders or wannabe's have been left w/o work. But those of us that are left arent going anywhere anytime soon, ive fought way too hard for way too long to even consider leaving now, even being the oldest still doing it by like 8 years.
chuck has been doing the jumpingships usually, and he's out with a torn acl at the moment, usually its between april and june 1st
there were 101 riders @ $10 each at the last one, that isnt something easily organized or setup, patience, give the man a chance--------or, try your hand at throwing a race........first you have to have the contacts and money for prizes up front, sponsors too, and your still gambling on getting your money back with enough riders showing/paying up
bottom line, its work, have some faith, when I know you will know

Im usually happy if I know a month in advance, usually its only a week or two.
Columbus had 4 bikers get hit by cars last week, aint been pretty lately. Fortunately 3 were minor and the 4th dude survived at least anyway and will be back sooner or later.........he smashed the piss out of the back of a car, crunched the trunk and broke the rear window. He ended up in the hospital, still waiting on word of how he's doing, I should probably inquire bout that tomorrow........he's my age, pretty cool guy, he's been pinch riding for the usual gal on maternity leave.
