24 hole track hubs..
Does anyone make them?
Would lacing a 36 hole hub doing 2 spokes every 3 holes work?

i'm no expert, but i wouldn't put 24 spokes on a 36h hub. i mean...the weight load, the distribution on the flanges with the holes...might be okay, but i sure wouldn't trust it.

Skipping holes in a hub is generally not too bad but you may have some funny spoke length variations to deal with, depending on the number of crosses you are going for.

the guy in poland that makes those mack hubs does whatever drilling you want.
mack hubs on ebay
i know these are single speed hubs, but he makes track hubs as well.

The guy I trust in wheel building says that doing 2 spokes every 3 holes is OK. Anyway, it is like 50% more load at a flange.

I've seen a couple examples of people doing mismatched hub/wheel lacings. They usually did it with the crow's foot lacing pattern, so it looked more symmetrical.
My approach would be to do a modified crow's foot for a 24h hub. Four crow's feet per flange, with the radial being the appropriate lengths, and the crosses being the lengths for a 36h 2.5X.

DW, Yeah, I know.
I don't have money to buy Deep carbon rims...I have a set of Generic 48mm ones that are 20-24...was hoping to change the rear rim to a front and make due with it...
hopefully I can get something for them on eBay

ummm, campagnolo? shimano?
They both made record and dura ace respectively in 24.
I know where you can get them too. Velocity still make 24 hole drillings to match.

You could always swap your 36 hole hub innards to the shell of this one:

i have 18 spokes on a 36 hole rim/hub... it's a front wheel, mind you, and i am only about 130lbs (6'1", thank you). works just fine, and tough as well!
