This'd be as good a time as any...Krypto mini ranks up there with eggbeaters and decent bag as far as worthwhile purchases go.
|
Yeah, but it always feels silly buying something you already have. You know, like another bike frame.
|
I am the wrong person to talk to about that (browsing the Baileyworks site in the next tab over...)

there will be beer stops during the race. |
I did a quick search and couldn't find a starting point or start time? Someone said that it would be released Friday night?
|
somethin' like that. It'll be on nybma.com as soon as the nybma.com staff is given the signal to release the info and after the staff gets the info, which they don't yet.

stop it with your chinese food mind games!

Okay. We're getting pretty close now. I know that alleycat details aren't going to be announced until Friday, but is there a consensus on what's happening Friday night? Did I read "Rockstar Bar" in one of the other threads?
I'm sorry for geeking out over this, but I need to spend some quality time with my NYC bike map and a colored pencil tonight to figure out where the **** I'm going. I'm not too sure I'm going to have internet access where I'm staying, which complicates things, to say the least. |
here's some info ripped from the "MT Swapmeet?" thread:

hey team boston, i know I am a little slow to the draw, but i would love to meet up with you guys to head down.
let me know word |
and some safety tips:

specifically, be REALLY careful on the queens end of the 59th st bridge. there's a 90 degree left-hand turn you have to make at the end of a relatively long/steep downhill.

i'll be in NYC at the absurdly early hour of 8am (!) friday morning. if anybody has the day off or wants to hang out at anytime during the day, PM me for my cell #.
|
perhaps and maybe, if DHL is friendly to me, i may have something that wil make me very, very happy this weekend...

yummy.

I know that MT is a a fixed/no brake race. Can you not race if you have a brake? I know that I am not going to win the race I just want to ride.(more like finish)?
|
it's looking like i won't be able to swing the trip. drats! i thought that my tax refund cash would help me with this problem, but i'm in a fairly dicey financial situation at the moment. that and my car needs new wheels that i won't have until after the weekend.
oh - the point of this is that if mareesha still has space, someone else can hit those floors. i'll be drinking myself into the gutter back here in ohio. i hope you kids in nyc do the same. i'll definitely get my ass out to nyc sometime, dammit. |
