You have a tire setup that I have always considered. Small Block 8 in the back and Nevegal up front? How do you like it?

I love mine.
It's treating me great. My wrists on the other hand...
It's a rough ride getting used to but I'd never ridden rigid before. I went straight from 5" of travel in the front and 3.5" in the rear to rigid so as far as comfort goes I won't dis it because I have nothing similar to compare it to. I will say that after changing my riding style and choosing a line more carefully it's very easy and fast to get used to. It also helps out because the steering is razor sharp. It's absolutely effortless to steer with the fork. It feels very stiff, no flex side to side. There is some flex when braking but that's to be expected. I get no brake chatter though just an even flex and easy rebound when I let off the brakes. I had a friend of mine ride it who rides a steel rigid and loved it after 5 minutes. I can't speak for it never having ridden a steel fork but he was considering getting one after just a few minutes on mine.
I have absolutely no complaints. Looks great, handles great, and only weighed 1.7 lbs BEFORE i had the steerer tube cut.
EXCELLENT FORK!!!

I like the set-up a lot and have no complaints. I ride some pretty rocky/rooty stuff and I've never had grip trouble climbing with the small block either. I run the front at 25 and the rear at 30 both tubed. Hope that helps. If not let me know when you're in Greenville and you can take it for a spin and decide for yourself.

... anyway, my Jamis has a 100mm-corrected fork. I've been tossing around the idea of replacing it with a carbon one should I ever try to bling out the bike and get the weight down. Then on the other hand, I'm pretty interested in next year's Reba. Hmm ...
PS. 29" Schwalbe Racing Ralphs are awesome, as are the Little Alberts

Three Olympic hosts converge in this photo. Taken in the Chinatown (China, Summer 2008 Olympic host) neighborhood of Los Angeles (host of Summer 1984 Olympic games), the photo includes the rim of a Campagnolo Atlanta '96 edition wheel. Campy used to name their track wheels after sites of the summer Olympic games; do they still?
For the rest of the pics from a recent biking of Los Angeles, see here https://www.flickr.com/photos/nicomac...7606356557756/
