again not beausage... just dirt

uhm, these bikes show obvious signs of use (they are dirty), yet are (questionably) beautiful. hows that not beausage? maybe you're confusing beausage with beaucay (beautiful decay)
yeah i just made that part up. but what would your usage of beausage be on a bike anyway? this ugly thing? http://sheldonbrown.org/images/ranger-duck.jpeg |

does anyone else keep reading "post your sausage" and get creeped out?
|
funny, when i made this thread, i thought about clarifying that i didn't want to see anyone's sausage...
i guess it's nice to know that at least one other person is as disturbed as i am. |

My LeMond after the VD alleycat race in Cincinnati. Sorry the picture sucks, but the garage door has a huge wood pile in front of it, limiting access.
I did wash it and clean it up after the picture was taken... |
I dig the pictures of the snow bikes, since it only snows about once a year here.

...just looks scratch and dent free here. the '74 world traveler singlespeed. b-e-a-utiful sausage. rattle can paintjob slowly coming off from usage. |
I decided to clean the IRO this weekend.
I figured I'd describe the situation, since I don't have a camera. Winter has graced the Mark V with many a new scratch that were only visible once the salt/road grime mixture was wiped off. The surface rust on some of the bolt heads adds a nice touch as well. |

You should see the old Huffy mountainbike I converted to 26x1.5s and SS today. It's got beausage out the @ss. Bubbled powdercoat, rusty flipped Northroads, cracked brake cable housings...

Poor top tube.
But yeah, that is definitely some beausage. |
looks like that rensho got hit. it might just be me, but the fork looks bent and top tube looks crunched?
|
Bent to hell? That looks more like bea-running-your-bike-straight-into-a-wall-sage

http://www.dropmachine.com/media/dat...m/DSCN1927.JPG On year 4 in my possession and still going strong. Yes it has 2 stems. Yes I drilled the top tube and bolted a handle into it. The sticker on the downtube was hand cut from a sheet of vinyl and says "not stolen". I lock it up everywhere for extended periods of time, leave it outside at parties and get too drunk and pass out, and it is always there when I come back. I know it ain't trendy but I love this bike. Beausage is in the eye of the beholder. Andrew |
Its fast too!
EDIT: Here is my Fuji S-10-S Special Road racer fixed gear conversion in all its communting glory. I like to keep it clean so this is real wear and not just dirt. This frame is at least 30 years old and I have been riding the hell out of it for about 5 years now http://www.wwmovers-africa.com/haro/beausage1.jpg http://www.wwmovers-africa.com/haro/beausage2.jpg |
