so there's the main difference from these VS. the gnashbar set (which they state is fixed/fixed).
The set I ordered from NB will hopefully have showed up when I get home, but I have a feeling it'll be later this week. :P |
Sorry if this is a noob question, but I'm wondering if these are fairly sturdy wheels? I'm building a commuter bike and I need something that can take a bit of abuse.
Thanks, Nathan |
for the record, both of these sellers' wheels are built on fixed/free hubs. My Nashbar set arrived today and aside from being all scratched up for some reason (they're going back), they have a fixed/free hub. I called NB and they are going to correct their web listing that is a bit vague.

i gotta add that i thought about it a bit and i only paid 10 dollars more at nashbar. i lucked out with the discount code and only paid 135 plus shipping...two day to be exact thereby landing the price firmly at $171. and i have to add....i love these wheels man. besides being fixed free(adding stress of possibly messing up threads...) the mavic cxp22 rims have a slight and noticable split where the rim is joined up. its minor but anoying.
