Remember when we were kids, and a friend would come over and be like, "Wanna go ride bikes?" yeah, that was sweet.

jacobpriest 03-04-06 10:58 AM

last night i got my bike in UPS and i put it together real fast but didnt really have any time other than getting to sit on it before dinner then going out. i came home baked and had such a good 3 am ride trying to learn how to skid!
BIKES!

jaypee 03-04-06 11:04 AM

I had a friend in Vegas drunk dial me at 6AM this morning. (4AM his time) After laughing at his voicemail message, I decided to go for a nice trail ride.

Bikes are indeed, very good.

silver lining story--so i was supposed to go to nyc as usual today so last night i go get gas for the car (yeah i hate cars too but i have to get to nyc to see my babe and homeslice don't do no fung wah action--i want to live to ride some more!). anyway, on the way back to my house i get pulled over for non-registration. tow truck comes and tows me away and i have to pay 150 bucks to get it back and have to go to the dmv or whatever it's called and get straight. plus i paid 150 bucks for a tuxedo to go to this shindig with my chick tonight. a big ol' dance with open bar at columbia u. last year they had skyy vodka, maker's mark, and brooklyn beers and sierra nevada brew, etc. all topshelf booze. so i miss all that and am out a buncha dough. . .

but ya know what? i got to ride my bike into work (which i usually don't do on saturday as i go to nyc every saturday). so i get in an extra 24 mile r/t to work. and i get to ride all day tomorrow if'n i want as the weather is good here in boston. nice and sunny.

so it all works out. except for the money and hangin' with my hot chick.

Riding a bike outside rules. I'm sick and tired of this trainer crap, good weather.. please come soon

adamkell 03-04-06 02:30 PM

hey bruno, remember that thread when you said you drove your Hummer to Starbucks and I believed you? Oh, man.

and bikes are awesome. but when its 69 outside with a cloudless sky, having to stare at your bikes because you're inside working... well, that's not awesome.

Other than commuting, sometimes when it's really gross outside (snowstorms), I love to bundle up and go on a survival ride. When it's so crappy outside the cars are afraid to come and play I get the whole of the city streets to myself. Great fun and an incredible workout!!!!

i remember that thread. i believed it, too. i thought it was a joke at first, but you took it far enough i thought you were serious. good dedication.

rvabiker 03-04-06 03:45 PM

riding bikes= good
head butting windshields of toyota tercels= not good

TRaffic Jammer 03-04-06 03:56 PM

Walking away from headbutting a tercel to post about it = super good
Damn I love riding...I was recently banned from skateboarding ever again ...dislocated kneecap, that bummed me severely, but to not be allowed to ride again? Kill me now

humancongereel 03-04-06 03:59 PM

today's beautiful...i have to do some **** and try to be back in an hour to meet a prospective new roomie, but all i want to do is go out and ride. check out a couple new bars, have a slice of pizza, go to the bike shop.

damn, i've fixed my bike and used the search function to find everything i need to know. i'll ****ing talk to all you dudes later...i'm out. i have to ride.

I feel honored to have a friend want for me to teach her how to ride a bike; half of my friends don't ride a bike (and they don't have cars either! it doesnt make sense)

koyman 03-04-06 05:18 PM

34 and sunny = bike ridding. God it was beautiful.

also, I was wearing a cape. everyone should wear capes while riding bikes.

I love bikes.
