Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If that's not northbrook then there is some sort of bizzarro ERV, where they have green sewercovers, teal pavement, and an Albertos Cycle shop.

edit: wow me and inline images are not working out today.
If The pirates actually learned to ride they could be great, just not menacing.
and joking about breaking a really nice mans arm is just in bad form.

you know that that nice man IS a pirate, and we're totally down.
shame is like rubber and you're like glue. every shame you send bounces off of us and sticks to you... Mr. AWOL. c'mon, less crappy, more happy (tm LBK).

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

It gets better. I just talked with the guy some more, and the $20-$25 an hour was HERE. It is $30 out there (at least, that's what he was told...)

And they would have just gotten the iGen, so they probalby wouldn't have too many people that really know the best way to use it.

And he heard about it from his sister, who's they're sales manager.

I hope I don't wake up anytime soon. If I got hit by a car and I'm in a coma somewhere, that's OK. The doctors are probably wondering why there is a grin from ear to ear.

Finally raising one back at you.

Talked some more with the dude as we were both leaving. I messed up the run that took most of my shift. Low-res graphics, but really hard to spot. I signed off on the makeready, our 'digital print specialist' signed off on the makeready. We missed that these 8.5x11 eps images scaled down to about 1" wide had the text blurred out. The images looked about the same. But it's all recycling. I'm probably going to get my ass reamed tomorrow.

But the dude and I both agreed that this is the most effed up shop that we've ever worked in, and that there's no reason that I should have had to do both the setup and the running. In Chicago, it would just be the running. there's a lot of other problems besides that. I told him my ass was probably going to be reamed about it tomorrow. He said that he was going to try to get ahold of his sister tomorrow.

I decided that the shop I work at is seriously ***ed and that I didn't want to work there. And the guy said he'd talk to his sister tomorrow.

So... I only have 8 fingers to keep crossed and they make typing kind of hard.

I started feeling really bad that we'd done this to your thread. I blame the Pirates...they'll do this.
