MKS Toe Clips w/ Leather Covers?
Why does MKS make toe clips with leather covers, are they designed to protect the clips from the ground/track or to protect your shoes from rubbing the clips. Are they durably made or do they disintegrate after the first time they get wet? Does anyone have any experience with these?

I had a non mks pair of clips with the leather covers, and they were a pain in the ass. basically sometimes the clips would scrape the ground, and then the leather would get scuffed. they looked like **** after about 2 months. They didn't protect my shoes anymore than regular clips, so I ditched em.

That's what I figured. They look pretty nice, but I ain't buying 'em on looks alone.
