You probably have Pedro's for 559's? That section of the rim is nearly identical for all 700 C's (needs to be to fit with 700C tires.
As for Velocity rims, I've never had problems building with them, have never had one out of true or round, and have never had trouble getting someone on the phone or email to answer my questions, even though I'm a super-small time builder. Can't say the same about Mavic.
