Haha. When absntr, schloe and I hit up the velo last weekend, there was a cool old dude in the parking lot with a gorgeous yellow Paramount and a Casati. He was up there with his FGG Forum buddies.
He kinda eyed us a bit and asked, "You guys BikeForums?"

I actually know the guy who started that thread, and it seems to me like he was just complaining about the technical problems that bf had for awhile (which seem to be cleared up now).
I don't think he intended to start what it has become...

I think it's funny, you all hating on them, them all hating on you. I hate all of you.
Seriously though - they have that whole Too Cool for School thing - remember the Wrong thread? And opportunity to hate on whatever you don't like. You guys ***** at each other much more - here, someone is far more likely to get torn to shreds over something petty. I love reading both, but there sure as hell is a reason why I don't post much in either this forum OR on FGG.

one thing i like about fgg is the lack of a curse filter. ****ing **** is lame on this forum in that regard.
the regulars on fgg seem to be a bit different demographically as well, and the snarky **** is pretty awesome. this forum is full of punkasses like myself. but i get bored with the general forum there too quickly, not enough to read, hah.

The FGG Forum should hold a Meat n' Greet in SanFran too, and then we can settle this once and for all...

This whole thing is amusing. This forum has only recently digressed into more of a general life discussion but I think it's because alot of us know each other or have met in one form or another. I think a lot of FG/SS specific posts are no longer made because we as a group have discovered the usefulness of the *search* function (finally!) and contact people via PM frequently.
I have met a ton of people who are on here and no one yet has been an ass, elitist, DB or anything we're acused of being.
And I must admit, the idea of a SF MNG showdown is quite appealing. I think it's obvious we would kick their ****ing ****ty **** asses. And probably look really good doing it too.
Yay for BF!!!
