R.E.load Midpack or Freight Backpack?

I know there have been too many threads about messenger bags and the like, but I'm looking to get rid of my Timbuk2 Large bag and get a backpack and need your help.

I'm NOT a messenger, but am carrying a load almost always between school and work. So with that said, I would like a internal pocket plus the outside double pockets. However, I can't physically look at either bags in person because nobody sells them around here.

Does anyone have pictures of the inside and side pockets of their REload midpack or Freight bag? I need someplace to stash my u-lock too, which I know the Freight bag has.

I think coming from a messenger bag with roughly 1700cu in. and it being too small to a backpack around 1900cu in. will be ok. It just sucks not being able to look at how big they are. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have pictures, but I've owned both of these bags. My midpack didn't have a side pocket to stash a lock in, or compression straps. It was probably half the size of my L Frieght backpack, and the quality of construction didn't seem as nice as my Freight either. I'm sure REload would put the side pocket on if you were getting the bag custom made, and they might even come stock on most bags, mine was from their "custom stock" collection, so it could have been an oddball.

My Freight bag compresses down to ride just as comfortably as the REload did, but if I undo the compression straps I can fit 2-3 30 packs or file boxes in/on it. Another plus is nothing falls out of the Freight bag, where the REload's are notorious for having stuff fall out of them after they break in.

Thanks. I will check out both, but I'm leaning towards the REload backpack, but scaled down a bit.
