i almost forgot... ****in uni, man!
on saturday afternoon, on 3rd ave i think, i saw a unicyclist with a big-wheeled unicycle trackstanding at a light, then skillfully weaving through traffic. "you, sir, are ****ing awesome!" i hollered before we passed each other.
i was impressed.

I learned how a while back, and ol' Jimmy in Houston used to come to work messing on one if it was a particularly nice day. He had real skills, like the guy you describe. I was only good for smashing around my apartment putting holes in the drywall. But I could stay up indefinitely, travelling is when the smashing began, I had a bad habit of leaning forward and accelerating but always without an exit strategy

I wonder what happened to that unicyclist on the 'roll the credits' end of "Welcome Back, Kotter".

This isn't about unicycles, but it's still pretty damn sweet. I saw some guy riding this odd bicycle contraption with two or three chains, a few extra cogs and three frames that had his head at about ceiling height. It was pretty good, although i have no idea how one would get up on such a thing.
