Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My First FG build

So I scored this Raliegh from a local porn, err, pawn store -- talked the owner down from $50 to $30. It's my first fixie conversion and I thought it looked to be a decent prospect.

Not such a good pic but I should have some updated pics in a few days.

It's. So. Small.

Have fun with that, though. Raleighs can make some nice conversions.

Sorry, DP, I'm pretty damn fond of that heretical accessory so far but if I ever do upgrade, it's yours.

Damn, that's cold, Twe, we barely know each other. Oh ... the frame. Yeah, it's a 52cm but it works for me.

Thanks, Joe. The colors are kinda Miami Vice but I think I might build up on them for some sick color combo, we'll see. I'll post better pics, some closer up, hopefully tomorrow.
