Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Thanks for all the well wishes! I'm sore but otherwise feeling okay. I'll probably be off the bike for a few days but I will ride again. I picked up my bike today and it is in pretty good shape except for the front rim which is severely dented. That rim was only a day old...

Thanks again everyone! Fortunately I do have health insurance so I'll be okay financially. I'm feeling a lot better today although I probably won't [seriously] ride for another day or two.

Just remember, you didn't fall off your bike, you were rescuing a damsel in distress from some rowdy hooligans and that's how you got the broken nose and black eyes. And the damsel was grateful. You tell people you fell off your bike, they'll tell you to put training wheels on it.

you were racing a cab down 2nd ave when it tried to cut you off. you flipped over the front hood, crashed into a kid, got up, and kept riding.

you were racing a kid down 2nd ave when he suddenly stuck a frame pump in your spokes sending you directly into mike tyson's fist. the kid screamed "forza italia" as he rode away and mike tyson took a bite out of your front wheel.

Bikes: cannondale cyclocross, gan well pro (unmarked from the factory in kyoto!!) track bike. In parts. Partial (historical) ownership of fuji track bike; Fire Breathing Horse. Motobecane messenger track (pink).

I'll never forget the time yoshi slaid a dragon to save me from english soccor hooligans. and chr*st. Sure he broke his handsome nose and now has that foxy bad-boy fixy rider look but i think it's time to go to DINNER with a certain stunningly attractive friend. that's right.
