Anything fun in hotlanta?

Unfortunately Duluth is a pit of suburbia but only about a 30 minute drive to downtown. Go check out the Earl here located in East Atlanta. Good food and good indie rock hipsterism. You may also want to check out the Drunken Unicorn here and Lennys here. If you go to Lennys do yourself a favor and eat at Six Feet Under located less than a block away.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Do not eat at six feet under, It sucks and is really expensive. Instead drive up and down buford and experience the excellent cuisines of it's many immigrants that are one of the the few things which makes atlanta even remotely livable. As far as music goes see the above and prepare to be underwhelmed.

I know duluth is not so close to atlanta, but I'm sure not going to stay in my hotel room all week. I am on an expense account, so as long as it's semi-reasonable, I can get away with it.
Thanks for the links. Atlanta is way too big not to have a decent music scene - I'll keep digging.

I've never had anything even moderately good at sfu and the fish & chips the place is supposed to be known for are disguting. If you want fried fish go to one of the ghetto
Any music scene atlanta had has been dying for most of the past decade. The list of bands that skip atlanta grows while the number of venues shrinks. There isn't even a decent mid sized venue at all anymore. Atlanta isn't all bad but it definetly is not the a good town for going out and seeing music. And I'm not down of everything being in duluth surrounds him with a selection of ethnic food surpassed only by NY and LA. It's better to take advantage of what atl does have when here then taking a $60 cab to what it doesn't

Oh god, I've been to Duluth. At least Atlanta gets shows. Savannah gets absolutly nothing.
Music www.pollstar.com but that is for anywhere.
I've never been to little 5 but I think the website is www.L5p.com

Bikes: Guerciotti Pista-Giant Carbon-Bridgestone300- Batavus Type Champion Road Bike, Specialized Hardrock Commuter, On-One The Gimp (SS Rigid MTB/hit by a truck)- Raleigh Sports 3-speed,Gatsby Scorcher, comming soon...The Penny Farthing Highwheel!
Just avoid the trendster traps mentioned above, and take a different path.
Wed. night at the Apache cafe has an amazing array of soul/funk/r&b artists. $6 cover $2 Mickey's.
Thurs. Night at The Masqerade is fun (80's dance party) with lots of cute girls. A little trendy, but big enough to get away from the little packs of rabid scenesters.
Any night at the Masquarade may hold metallic delights for some good heavy music.
Metalsome mondays @ the Ten High has a good house band with rock karaoke. Good times.
The Highlander has a decent bar menu, and decent bands.
Smith's Olde Bar has good pub fare, and awesome folksy/rootsy/depends on the night various artists.
Go to Fever at Django's on Sat. night for good underground hip-hop.
Go to MJQ/ The Drunken Unicorn or Lenny's to be underwhelmed by local bands. But it can be fun. Dive bars.
Go eat at The Local or The Vortex at L5p (Little 5 Points). Go to Slice for pizza. For vegans there's Soul Vegetarian. For BBQ its Fat Matt's Rib Shack.
For bikes, go to AVX and get a beer from Rich, the owner. Rent a bike and roll around town.
Get a Creative Loafing. It's all pretty much in there. It's like The Village Voice of the South.
Have fun, be safe. Downtown Decatur is worth a visit. Peace.

Everything is new to the one first seeing it. Oh, yeah, Azul is good. That's a good late night spot in Decatur.

Another spot is the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, a great pub for the beer fan, no live music though. Dutret, may even be impressed with their fish and chips.

Oh, The 5 Spot in L5P has good jazz/funk live music, Eyedrum has freaky live shows/performance art.
Loca Luna has a hot latin dance band on the weekends. Very hott.
...And how can you forget The Atlanta Symphony Hall?? Classical music rocks.
