yeah, go for it. It has a few features that indicate that it isn't a complete pile of crap:

- DT shifters instead of stem shifters
- non-Ashtabula, non-stamped crankset with removable rings.
- a seatpost with a head. Not one of those stupid pipe-only posts
- a fame pump holder. Someone who rode a POS gas-pipe frame wouldn't own a frame pump.
- i think it has a derailleur hanger, which to me means forgerd, not stamped dropouts.

10$ bought me an old univega frame with nice lugs, shimano 600 crankset, full suntour shifters/derailleurs and dropouts, mavic wheelset!!! on the way to picking it up, the lady called to tell me it was sold. I told her we had an agreement and she realized that I was the person coming to buy it. She apologized and said at least 30 people had called on the bike in only 20 minutes and she was calling everyone to tell them it was sold. it was her boyfriends bike but he told her to sell it because he bought a $1200 bike. I wonder if he knows how much she sold it for. I also got this schwinn for $10. I'm going to clean it up and sell it. I love craigslist!
