I'm looking for my first fixed gear for some commuting and riding around a college campus, preferably under $400. I'd like a complete bike, but if there's a good enough deal on a frame/fork etc. combo, I could build it up, with the help of the LBS since I've never built a bike myself. I'd like something 54cm or smaller, as I currently ride a 54cm Canondale R700 and that's pushing it. I've searched craigslist Boston and eBay and pretty much the only bikes I've found are either too big or out of my budget. Thanks in advance to anyone who spots something I haven't yet!

I'm not in Boston, but just out of curiosity I emailed him about the Spinergy.. he wrote back:
"the carbon fiber is splitting a bit (but it is repairable, and its not hard to do), so 60$ for the wheel is that ok by u?" Umm... pretty sure that's not a good idea! |

53cm NJS bridgestone grand-velo. Mais oui! C'est trop large pour moi, mais vous pouvez l'avoir pour seulement $495 avec BIN!

I've been debating on whether to give this one up or not. Works out to about $175 US. Has a cinelli track stem and bars with old logo. Aussy speedwell track bike. Asked seller about shipping, he quoted 110AUS for shipping (about $80, usually around $60.), But $250 for a speedwell track isn't bad. And you won't see too many of those rollin' in your neighborhood.

Totally amazing. I would ride it around town in a black skinsuit and a TT helmet all the time, just as my own private amusement park ride. |
